We are extremely excited to announce that two Stölzle glass bottles have been shortlisted in their chosen category, in this year’s UK Packaging Awards.
The finalists are
Mount Rigi – Distillerie Mount Rigi Ag
Mount Rigi, set up in 2015 by Albert & Alexander Tichelli is a Swiss Aperitif Kirsch liqueur. It is named after this majestic mountain, Mount Rigi. The plan was to revive Kirsch with its known strength by lending it an enhanced taste. That’s when Aperitif liqueur from Switzerland was born. The recipe brief was followed by the packaging brief which itself was refined and brought to the CAD level by Stranger & Stranger. We then implemented the CAD vision into reality, as far as the glass bottle goes, at our UK site in Knottingley, West Yorkshire, England.
Tarquins Cornish Gin – Southwestern Distillery
Tarquin’s, the booming coastal Cornish distillery set up by chef Tarquin Leadbetter in 2012, asked us to move the brand forward by creating a new bottle for its flagship.Cornish Dry Gin and range of gins – one that could ooze quality and provenance. Working with the creative agency Buddy and in keeping with their distinctive wax seal, we were able to craft a sleeker, more streamlined bottle, with a wider spout and more rounded base. The brand’s puffin emblem was redrawn and embossed onto the glass, with a suggestion of waves below the hand-signed label, and the entire bottle has an acid-etched finish to be suggested of glass found on the seashore. This bottle was also designed and created at our UK site in Knottingley, England.
The winners will be announced on 7th November 2019 at The Great Room, Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane.To find out more please visit https://awards.packagingnews.co.uk/packagingawards2019/en/page/2019-shortlist
