STO FLACONNAGE CREATES NEW PERSONAL CARE RANGE
LAUNCHES NEW STANDARD BOTTLE
STO Flaconnage has launched a series of standard bottles for the personal care market from its Knottingley factory in West Yorkshire.
The first bottle in the new range is the Carlton, a classic rectangular shape with straight shoulders, available in 100ml and 30ml with 50ml on request. ‘It offers designers a generous face for decoration and complete flexibility of approach,’ said Mark Devonald Smith, Director of UK Perfumery Personal Care. ‘The heavy weight glass is in line with traditional flaconnage and reflects prestige. It is a versatile bottle that will accept a wide range of closures and meets the needs of the market place. All the new ranges will follow these principles.'
Stölzle-Oberglas has two hundred years experience of glass bottle production. Well known for its premium spirit bottles and a wide range of custom designed containers for the personal care market, the company has recently invested considerable resources in Knottingley.
Mark Devonald Smith, Director of Perfumery 'Personal Care has been working for eighteen months on developing the UK personal care sector for STO. His wide experience in this sector lies behind the development of the new range of versatile and classic standards for perfumery, skin care, cosmetics and toiletries.
‘The personal care market,’ said Mark, ‘increasingly wants to deal with primary sources rather than through a merchant or agent. Working directly with the glass-maker gives clients control over the production process. STO’s long-time glass-making expertise enables them to meet customer expectation in what is a highly specialised market. STO is all about turning a concept into a reality. We offer heavy-weight bottles, classic flaconnage of perfumery quality. Both flint and feeder glass offer excellent colour, brilliance and crystal clarity. STO bottles mean value for money.
‘STO in fact,’ Mark continued, ‘are offering the personal care market a competitively priced packaging portfolio; a “one stop shop” that includes high quality standard or custom design bottles, in-house decoration covering spraying, etching, printing, metallic finishes, etc., plus our partnerships with a closure company and a key pump and collar supplier. Together it means that the total bottle concept can be designed and produced in one contact operation.
This is particularly valuable when innovative packaging is being developed.’
The STO group are producing high quality design for a wide sector of the European market, including the new and rapidly expanding Eastern European markets such as Poland and Russia.
