Sand blasting

Sand blasting makes the glass mechanically matt; the blasting medium (special sand) is blasted onto the glass surface at high pressure which roughens the surface giving it a matt appearance. The surface of the glass has a relatively rough character, according to the size of the sand particles used and doesn’t feel as silky as glass matted using the acid etching technique. The size and quantities of the glass will determine whether the process is carried out manually or automatically.
